Opposite Sides' mastermind Massimo Arke will take part to the recordings of Martyr Lucifer's solo-album, which will feature Hortus Animae and Opposite Sides members as well as very special guests like Adrian Erlandsson of At The Gates/Cradle Of Filth/Paradise Lost fame. The album's working title is "Farewell To Graveland" and the line-up is as follows:

Martyr Lucifer - Vocals, Synth & Programming
Arke - Guitars
Evgeniy "Vrolok" Antonenko - Bass
Bless - Piano & Keyboards
Adrian Erlandsson - Drums
Grom - Drums

Welcome to Marco "Karnal" from the brutal death metal band Carnality as the new guitarist in Opposite Sides.
Today Fabio "Amon 418" leaves the band after 9 years.
I want to thank Fabio as a musician for his precious talent and as a friend for all the time we spent together ... I wish him all the best.

Here is what Fabio says:
I'm sad to announce that after 9 years of efforts, victories, disasters and vibrant music, I'm no longer part of Opposite Sides. The reason being that I'll need at least a couple months to fully recover from an ugly painful problem in my back. The band finally got a stable line-up and planned gigs, unfortunately(?!) making it impossible to stop the activity on the fly. Marco "Karnal" from the brutal death metal band Carnality and long time friend will be the band's new guitarist; needless to say, this the best possible solution. Best of luck to Opposite Sides and a sincere thank you to Massimo for sharing this exciting adventure with me for all these years... we'll drink to this soon. As for me, Hate Profile's new album won't be profoundly affected by this and I expect to get it mastered for the end of 2009. The last months spent working on Opus II brought in some new energies and ideas, while working with m:A Fog promoted a new approach to the writing process: the aim for 2010 is to have Opus III fully written. As Hate Profile is presently my only project, I'll have much more time to get back on the professional sound engineering track; primarily mixing and producing in my own studio, but I'm open to further development.
I'll keep you posted.

Hi everyone,
today I got an important news to say...

After 5 years it ends the membership between OS and Martyr.
Because of personal reasons he decided to leave the band. I endlessly thank Martyr for his precious artistic effort and his friendship. I wish him all the best for his personal life and future plans.
Without him OS wouldn't be here to play today.
From now on, I will play the guitar and I will also take care of all vocals. As a consequence, there will be a change that will lead to a brand new style.
Soon it will be also announced the new line up and we'll start to promote Soul Mechanics playing live gigs. Stay tuned!
